在申请境内临时签证续签的时候，会出现了收取STE费用，700刀的情况。这是怎么发生的呢？
澳洲政府规定，对于指定类别的临时签证，比如说旅游签证的持有者，在某些情况下需要支付额外的700澳币的境内续签费用，移民局称之为Subsequent temporary application charge。简称STA
AEMS在这里给大家做一个相对简单明了的解释。
单申请人满足以下条件时：
1. 申请人在澳洲境内申请，以下签证

3. 并且两次签证申请都是在澳洲境内申请的，
4. 满足这种情况则要支付700澳币的续签费。
值得注意的是，Migration Regulations 1994， Reg 2.12C之中还举例了某些特殊情况之下可以豁免这一续签费的情况，如新生儿等，但是实际操作中并不常见，在这里AEMS就不复杂的介绍这种情况了。
所以，如果你在澳洲续了两次签证，就有可能要给这个700刀的费用了。
如果在澳洲境内申请两次以上的临时签证，需要申请第三次同样的临时签证的时候，就有可能需要附加这个费用。
如果你因为疫情关系，不能进入澳洲，现在签证到期了，你需要续学生签，第一次续不需要付$700澳币的费用。但是如果你之后还选择继续升学，那就是第三次申请学生签，那个时候就要多付$700澳币的费用。
A申请学生签续签，B做为A的配偶申请陪读，C是A和B的孩子加入了签证申请。
AB所持有的学生签和陪读签第一次都是2018年5月在澳洲申请的，C持有的旅行探亲签证是在2019年9月在中国申请的，那么如果ABC在2020年2月申请学生签续签，他们应该交多少的subsequent visa charge？
答案：
1400澳币，A与B分别支付700澳币的续签费，因为他们上一个签证是在澳洲境内申请的，同时新签证也要在境内申请，所以AB都要支付700，而孩子C的第一个签证是境外申请，所以不需要支付额外的续签费。
